Motivation to change

Wien Digital is an innovative, service-oriented IT department that focuses on the digitalization of the city of Vienna. Wien Digital ensures the secure operation of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in Vienna’s clinics, nursing homes, and city administration. THe goal of digitalization in Vienna is to become the city of short distances.

Change delivery

We have supported the city of Vienna in professionalizing the central portal platform Liferay and in transitioning to Liferay DXP. In addition to the technical migration, the following goals were defined for the project:

  • Improvement of source code quality
  • Minimization of Liferay customizations and maximization of product potential
  • Transformation of the solution to be multi-tenant capable
